Looking for a hairdresser who does colour correction in Bali? Start with a consultation. When your colour feels too dark, too warm or uneven, it is tempting to book whatever sounds like the quickest fix. A useful first appointment starts with understanding your hair and agreeing on a realistic result.

At The Shampoo Lounge, we offer colour consultations in Seminyak, Sanur and Ubud. Whether you live in Bali or are fitting an appointment around a holiday, a little preparation helps us give you clearer advice before you commit.

What counts as colour correction?

Colour correction is work to improve an unwanted colour result. It might involve uneven tones, a shade that feels too dark or light, or colour that no longer suits you. The service needed depends on your starting point. A toner refresh and a substantial colour change are different appointments, so tell us what is bothering you rather than trying to choose the technique yourself.

Our hair colouring page explains the services available and includes examples of our work.

Send your hair history, not just your goal photo

A reference photo helps explain the direction you like. It cannot show us what has already been applied to your own hair. Before your consultation, gather:

  • Clear, recent photos of the front, sides, roots and back, ideally in natural light without filters.

  • Your colour history, including home colour, bleach, highlights and approximate dates.

  • Details of previous keratin, straightening or other chemical services.

  • What you like and dislike about your current colour, plus one or two goal photos.

  • Your preferred salon, travel dates and how much appointment time you can allow.

If you are unsure which products were used, say so. An incomplete history is still more useful than guessing.

Can colour correction be finished in one visit?

Sometimes a smaller adjustment is all you want. A larger change may need a staged plan, and an inspiration photo is not a promise of an exact match. Ask what improvement is realistic for this visit, what may need to wait, and how the proposed result will look as it grows out.

Hair condition matters alongside colour. Discuss any breakage, dryness or previous problems at your consultation. The colourist can advise whether further assessment, a strand test or a different approach is appropriate. Avoid building your holiday plans around a guaranteed one-session transformation.

Blonde correction deserves a clear plan

The Shampoo Lounge has been established since 2012 and is very well known for blondes in Bali. Our blonde colouring page covers highlights, balayage, toners and blonde colour services across Seminyak, Sanur and Ubud.

If your goal is blonde, be specific about the tone and maintenance you want. A softer, lived-in finish and a bright all-over blonde can call for quite different plans. Ask about upkeep before choosing a result you will need to maintain after returning home.

How much does colour correction cost in Bali?

There is no useful single price for every correction. The work required depends on your current colour, hair condition and agreed goal. TSL offers a complimentary colour consultation to discuss expected results and provide a service estimate.

You can start with our online eConsult form before visiting. Include detailed photos and your hair history. An online quote is preliminary; your hair needs to be assessed in person for a final accurate quote before proceeding.

Choose your salon and book ahead

Pick the location that fits your stay: Seminyak, Sanur or Ubud. Contact the team well before your preferred day, especially if you have an event or a flight coming up. Allow room in your schedule for the consultation and the service time the team recommends.

Our Instagram gallery is a great place to browse colour work and decide which finishes appeal to you. Save examples to discuss with your colourist, remembering that your own starting colour and condition will shape the plan.

Ready to discuss your colour? Send your photos, hair history, preferred location and dates through eConsult. We can then help you work out the next step.
